First of all, I am a fine lady so I am not looking to add bulk to my frame. I prefer to have a slim and toned body not the bodybuilder’s type. So rest assured when I say resistance training I am not talking about lifting really heavy weight.
Lifting weights has a lot of benefits like better protection against osteoporosis, faster weight loss and toning of muscle mass. You don’t want to look muscular but you don’t want to look flabby, chubby and be fragile don’t you?
However, many girls like to lose weight instead of toning their muscle so they view resistance training as merely a necessary evil. The good news is, there is a way to turn resistance training into a fat burning one too. Simply do cardio before your weight training and refrain from resting in between sets. This will boost your metabolism rate and your fat will melt like butter.
