Now, there is an anachronism: arcade games. How is it that something gains nostalgia simply by being old? I mean, does everyone look back on their grade school years with wistfulness? Because I don’t have that many good memories of grade school seeing as I constantly got into trouble, but I still wish I could go back there. Anyway, arcade games are much the same for me. I didn’t really like hanging out in the arcade that much. Maybe that’s due to growing up in Cleveland where your chances to be outside were fewer, but I never got into hanging out in dark space for hours on end. However, I kinda wish I could now. I could see taking in a roll of quarters and playing some Galaga or Asteroids or Donkey Kong for an entire afternoon. That sounds like a great way to get away from my job and responsibilities now.
